Reading and Writing

MARIAH IS READING!! She has been picking up on a few words here and there for a while, but now she can read full sentences. There is a video somewhere here of her and Gi-Gi reading today.
Another event from today was her writing ... on herself. When I asked Mariah why she wrote on her face she said she was getting ready for her t-ball game. Has she seen baseball players put lines under their eyes? It came off easily because it was dry erase marker.

Bottles and Bubbles

Posted by Picasa

Here are some of Mason's new adventures. He has decided that a bottle is not such a bad thing. He'll even take formula in it, which gives me a little freedom from time to time. He also has discovered how to blow bubbles and make quite a mess. Maybe only his parents think this is cute, but he was having fun!

April Photo Shoot

Here are some pictures I took when the tulips were blooming. Maybe next time I can get a picture of both of them smiling.

T-ball

Here are some pictures of Mariah at T-ball practice. You can see from the line up that she doesn't look like one of the youngest kids on the team. The ages are 4-6, but there are a few kids that are three but will soon be turning 4. Her best friends, Mallory, Brayden and Cayden are also on the team. Last night at dinner ,when Mariah was saying the blessing, she started out, "Thank you for t-ball practice.." hehe

Splish-splash

Mason loves his bath. Although I thought he was havin' a big time here this is nothing compared to his baths now.. had to document anyway.

Snow Day '09

It was the middle of March, but we finally got a snow day!! The only other time it snowed enough to play in Mason was too little to leave inside even on a monitor(or I was too afraid, whatever). But today he snoozed in the swing while we went outside to play!! It was the perfect snowman snow. I've never seen snow that packed so well when you just rolled the ball around. So we made our whole family!! Just in time too.. the snow was melting before our very eyes. Mariah said, "what's that sound?" I said," that's the music from Mason's swing on the baby monitor." She said, "no, it sounds like something is water is dripping." I said, "Oh! That's the snow melting and running down the drain from the roof." And she looked at me with this pitiful face like "this can't be happening!!" So we hurried up and played a bunch more. We are both tired. We've had our hot chocolate and now it's time for some lunch.
